These photographs were taken at the Lake House, a wooden chalet behind a villa at 165 Rude du Lac, that appears on the cover of Queen's 1995 album 'Made in Heaven'. On that album is Freddie's last ever song, 'A Winter's Tale', a tribute to the Swiss lakeside town: "so quiet and peaceful, tranquil and blissful", he sang, and he once recommended: 'If you want peace of mind, come to Montreux". From Mark Hayward's book 'Queen on camera, off guard'.
